Swan Song

Posted by
ANN (poems) and DULCIE (photos) (Danville CA, United States) on 2 October 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

This is Ann, our poet, who has been
so obsessively chasing her own tail
in recent weeks she is at risk
for turning into a duggly ukling.
Ann and her mate are moving their
nest from San Mateo all the way
across the Bay to Walnut Creek.
Oh, the feathers are flying;
they’ve gone quite mad!

Dulcie, our photographer, craves
free time to focus on and with her
camera, experimenting with light
and shadow, texture and color--
which may or may not cause poems.
Plus she is probably a bit weary of
trying to pluck poems from her poet
while Ann is on the floppy fly with
poetic words and ideas arriving few
and far between for now.

So for the present time, we two
WordPictures collaborators are putting
our blog on hiatus.
But please don’t h(i)ate us.
We welcome your cards, letters, e’s
and comments begging us for more!

Ann, I continue to be inspired by the way you take care of yourself and focus on what is most important....when you notice that "feathers are a flying".
